I'm always busy. I like doing things. I like writing. I like publishing. I like working with others in group projects.

That said, normally I'm decent about pacing myself and only taking on one or two major projects at a time.

Lately, I have NOT been doing that.

Started talking with Lucy Winton about publishing Forest Fire.
Signed up for a multi-author series with a 12 Days of Christmas theme.
Decided to do the Fellowship of Fantasy, Self-Help & Other Fantasies anthology.

At the time, all of those seemed decently far in the future, though, and I didn't think about when they would all be "coming due," which... was between August and December.

I also have a handful of events in this time frame and the family wedding in mid-August, and my own desire to keep working on my continuing projects like writing my serial contemporary fantasy for Substack, publishing Game, Set, Match the third book in my second YA Superhero series, DMing a D&D party, my day job, my kids, my pets, marketing my backlist...

It's a lot. If you are interested in my brand of crazy, I've got a bunch of different updates on projects that I'm working on in one way or another, so buckle in, we're putting books out.

Game, Set, Match

Of Curses and Crescents

I mentioned the 12 Days of Christmas multi-author series I signed up for (be on the lookout for cover reveals and more soon) but my current writing project is also connected to a multi-author series. This one will be cozy-fall themed, and the books won't be launched until Autumn 2027, but I'm already writing mine, and (gasp) it's not superhero fiction.

It's a steampunk flavored retelling of the George MacDonald Fairytale "Little Daylight." While this book won't be out until late next year, I'm posting chapters as I write them on my Substack for paid subscribers. They'll only be up for about a month, so make sure you check them out HERE (The first one just went live on August 29th).
