With our first stretch goal met, ALL copies of Forest Fire are going to be illustrated. Paperbacks will have black and white illustrations, but there will also be a full-color hard cover available for $10 extra (If you previously backed at a paperback level and want the hardcover you can "add-on" an upgrade to your pledge).

The illustrated edition will include original art by Coryn Burke including 1 full page spread and a smaller illustration at the end of each chapter (three unique images rotated throughout).

So what's next?

If we hit our next stretch goal, EVERY backer will receive an additional short story called "Katie Vs the Harvest Fest."

This will be delivered as a digital download/ebook. It's a 10,000-word short story about Katie Park (from Blind Date with a Supervillain as well as other books in the world). Katie's given up superheroing in order to homeschool her and Shawn's three girls, but when a mean-girl mom at their co-op starts targeting her insecurities, Katie has to figure out how to stand up for herself and the kind of mom she wants to be.

I wrote this short especially for this Kickstarter, and it was fun to visit Katie and Shawn again. They really are couple goals. It also has an insane number of K-Pop Demon Hunters references.
