Why I like working with other authors in my superhero universe...

The world of the Supervillain Rehabilitation Project seems to spawn endless spinoffs. What was envisioned as a 4 book series has somehow exploded into a 30+ book multi-series universe.

When I first started getting people asking me if they could write in the universe, I was skeptical. I didn't understand why they wouldn't just write their OWN superhero universe ... but looking back at it, I have accidentally created a super fun playground that has a ton of possibilities, and I have started to really look forward to the takes other authors have on this world, be that the various short stories of the DOSA Files anthologies or Amber Gabriel's Rubber Bandit duology.

Every author brings their own take, but the universe stays the same.

This time, I'm working with Lucy Winton. Lucy writes cozy fantasy usually with a romantic angle. She's also from the UK which opens up the world in an interesting new direction.

Her novelette Forest Fire is adorable, and I can't wait to share it with you.
